A little acknowledgment

Good words. Open foundations.

Independent design and code, supported by carefully documented open-source tools.

Our word lists

The answer pool is independently compiled for Puzzico and favors familiar five-letter English words. It is maintained separately from the larger list of accepted guesses. We do not copy another game’s answer schedule.

The accepted-guess dictionary is filtered from an-array-of-english-words 2.0.0, maintained by Zeke Sikelianos and contributors. That project derives from the Letterpress word list and is distributed under an MIT license. The source package retains the upstream notices, source manifest and reproducible processing script.

Our input dictionary is permissive. Acceptance as a guess does not mean a word is suitable for the answer pool, an endorsement, or a promise that it is common in every dialect.

The building blocks

React and TanStack Start provide the interface and routing. Cloudflare Workers and D1 run the service and store game records. Radix UI provides accessible dialogs. Lucide supplies interface icons. Drizzle manages schema migrations. These projects retain their respective open-source licenses.

The visual language

Our interface pairs warm paper surfaces with deep blue and copper clues. Each clue has a visible symbol, and each guess has its own numbered row. The Puzzico mark is a rounded puzzle piece holding the letter P. Logo lettering uses locally outlined, licensed type; the interface uses system fonts with no remote downloads. High-contrast mode strengthens outlines and colors.

Independent, always

Puzzico is not affiliated with or endorsed by any other word game or its publisher.
