Another puzzle, the same rules

Unlimited is Puzzico’s practice mode. Guess a five-letter word within six accepted guesses, then start another game when you finish. A blue ✓ marks the right letter in the right position. A copper ↔ marks a letter that belongs elsewhere. A gray − means no remaining match, which can include an extra copy of a repeated letter. Exact matches are assigned before misplaced matches. How practice differs from Daily

The Daily puzzle gives everyone a shared word at 00:00 UTC. Unlimited lets you continue without waiting for that reset. Its statistics are separate: winning, losing or leaving a practice game does not affect your Daily streak. Switching modes keeps your active boards separate, so you can return to Daily after a practice session.

There is no per-turn timer; an unfinished practice game expires seven days after its first accepted guess. Return in the same browser with its game cookie intact to resume accepted guesses within that window. This seven-day playing window is different from record retention: detailed saved game records are kept for up to 180 days. There are no accounts or cross-device syncing. Practise a decision, then review it

Give a session a specific purpose. You might use a familiar opener and focus on moving misplaced letters, or try an unfamiliar opener and practise recognising an all-gray result. The starting-word guide compares opening choices against Puzzico’s answer list. Its candidate counts describe dictionary calculations, not a promise about your next game or your average score.

Read the first row before choosing the next word. A fixed pair of guesses can be convenient, but it can miss a useful clue. The second-guess guide shows how an empty row and a partly solved row call for different follow-ups. After finishing, open “View result & review” and look for a decision you could explain more clearly. Changing one habit at a time makes that review easier to interpret.

There is no enforced hard mode. If you choose to reuse every known clue as a personal exercise, decide that before starting. Otherwise, a legal guess may investigate letters without fitting the current pattern. Either choice still uses a turn.

Use help at the point you need it

The Word Solver filters accepted words from your entered clues; it does not reveal the current answer. The word lists let you browse possible spellings. Check suggestions against every row, including repeated-letter counts. You can use these tools during practice or save them for reviewing a finished game.
